Facebook will now prompt you to upload the main photo for your page. This photo will appear as your icon every time you comment on a post or appear in news feeds. Ideally, it should be your company logo. The actual dimensions of your profile picture is 180X180. This will shrink on your page to appear as 125X125.

About Section

Next, you need to write your 'About' information. This small blurb will serve as the main 2-3 sentence description for your company. It will be on your main page, so make it descriptive but succinct. Be sure to include a link to your company website as well. Also ensure that this information differentiates your brand, making your page even more appealing to potential followers.

(Sources: 3M Corporation and Zabisco). Visual content drives engagement, in fact just one month after the introduction of facebook timeline for brands, visual content--photos and videos--saw a 65% increase in engagement. (Source: Simply Measure)

Step 5: Update Admin Panel and Build Audience
Manage. From here you can click “Edit Page” to access the advanced control panel for your Page, which lets you do things like manage apps and administrators. “Use Activity Log” gives you a comprehensive history of things that have changed or been interacted with on your Page. “See Banned Users” does just what it sounds like. If you’re not logged in as your Page, you’ll also be given an option to log in as the Page for commenting purposes here (instead of your personal profile).

Build Audience. Here you can take actions that may attract new people to Like and engage with your Page. For example, you can invite your email contacts or personal profile Facebook friends to visit and Like the Page, share the Page to your own Timeline and your friends’ News Feeds, or create and pay for Facebook advertising for the Page.

Help. This is your gateway for customer support from Facebook. You can visit the Help Center, which is a database of helpful articles, take a guided tour of the features of Facebook Pages, take a video course on Pages, and view Facebook’s detailed “product guide” white paper that explains all the features and elements of a Facebook Page. You can also send feedback to Facebook’s customer support team.

Hide. This button hides the admin panel, giving you just a few of your Page’s Timeline. You can restore the Admin Panel by clicking the “Admin Panel” button in the right-side panel, above the list of years for your Timeline.

View this video on how to use admin Panel here for more information
I hope this was helpful to you all!

The Law of Success: Summary (Pt 3 and Final)

11.      Accurate Thought
“Invincible determination- a purpose once fixed, and then death or victory”
Accurate thought involves two fundamentals which all who indulge in it must observe. First, to think accurately you must separate facts from mere information. There is much “information” available to you that is not based upon facts. Second, you must separate facts into two classes; namely, the important and the unimportant, or, the relevant and irrelevant. Only by doing this can you have accurate thought.
To learn how to think accurately one must thoroughly understand.
1st: That the mind can be controlled, guided and directed to creative, constructive ends.
2nd: That the mind can be directed to destructive ends.
3rd: That the mind has power over every cell of the body
4th: That all achievement of man is the result of thought, the part which his physical body plays being of secondary importance
5th: That the greatest of all achievements whether in literature, art, finance, industry or otherwise are usually the results of ideas conceived in one man’s brain but ACTUALLY TRANSFORMED INTO REALITY BY OTHER MEN, through the combined use of their minds and bodies.
6th: The majority of all thoughts conceived in the minds of men are not accurate, being more in the nature of “opinions” or “snap-judgements.”
Any idea or thought which is held in the mind, through repetition, has a tendency to direct the physical body to transform such thought or idea into its material equivalent. Any order that is PROPERLY given to the sub-conscious mind (through the law of auto0suggestion) will be carried out unless it is side tracked or countermanded by another and stronger order. The sub-conscious mind does not question the source from which it receives orders, nor the soundness of those orders, but it will proceed to direct the muscular system of the body to carry out any order it receives.
From the very day that you reach a definite decision in your own mind as to the precise thing, condition or position in life that you deeply desire, you will observe if you read books, newspapers and magazines, that important news items and other data bearing on the object of your definite chief aim will begin to come to your attention; you will observe, also, that opportunities will begin to come to you that will, if embraced, lead you neater and nearer the coveted goal of your desire.

12.      Concentration
“Concentration is the act of focusing the mind upon a given desire until ways and means for its realization have been worked out and successfully put into operation.”
To have concentration one must remove the bad habits which stray away from concentrating your forces toward your goal in life and replace them with habits of constructive nature that will lead closer to your definite chief aim. The following is the procedure which you may follow to from new habits you desire.
1st: At the beginning of the formation of the new habit put force and enthusiasm into your expression. Feel what you think.
2nd: Keep your attention firmly concentrated on the new path-building, and keep your mind away from the old-paths, lest you incline toward them.
3rd: Travel over your newly made paths as often as possible. The oftener you go over the new paths the sooner will they become well-worn and easily travelled.
4th:  Resist the temptation to travel over the older, easier paths that you have been using in the past. Every time you resist a temptation, the stronger you become.
5th: Select your goal, and then make good, deep, wide mental paths leading straight to it.
Take a plain sheet of paper, ordinary letter size, and write on it the following:
I am going to become ______________ because this will enable me to render the world useful service that is needed—and because it will yield me a financial return that will provide me with the necessary material things of life.
I will concentrate my mind upon this desire for 10 minutes daily, just before retiring at night and just after arising in the morning, for the purpose of determining just how I shall proceed to transform it into reality.
I know that I can become a _________________, therefore I will permit nothing to interfere with my doing so.
Signed……………………………………..
Every thought that has ever been released in organized form, from the mind of any human being, is still in existence in the form of a wave in the ether, and is constantly passing around and around in a great endless circle; that the act of concentrating one’s mind upon a given subject with intensity sends out thought waves which reach and blend with those of a related or similar nature, thereby establishing a direct line of communication between the one doing the concentrating and the thoughts of a similar nature which have been previously set into motion.

13.      Co-operation
“The man whose philosophy is based upon co-operation instead of competition will not only acquire the necessities and the luxuries of life effort, but he will enjoy an extra reward in happiness such as others will never feel”
There are two forms of co-operation:
1st: The co-operation between people who group themselves together or form alliances for the purpose of attaining a giving end, under the principles known as the Law of the Master Mind.
2nd: The co-operation between the conscious and the sub-conscious minds, which forms a reasonable hypothesis of man’s ability to contact, communicate with and draw upon infinite intelligence
The main motives which impel men to action are money, sex and self-preservation.
The extent to which people may be induced to co-operate, in harmony, depends upon the motivating force which impels them to action. Perfect harmony such as is essential for creating a Master Mind can be obtained only when the motivating force of a group is sufficient to cause each member of the group completely to forget his or her own personal interests and work for the good of the group.
Men will not rally to the support of a leader in such a spirit of harmony unless the motive that impels them to do so is one that will induce them to lay aside all thoughts of themselves. The leader who gets all there is to be had from his followers does so because he has setup in the mind of each a sufficiently strong motive to get each to subordinate his own interests and work in a perfect spirit of harmony with all other members of the group.

14.      Failure
“I am reminded O King, and take this lesson to heart, that there is a wheel on which the affairs of men revolve and its mechanism is such that it prevents any man from being always fortunate.”
In lesson 8 of the course you were taught that strength grows out of resistance; and now you will learn that sound character is usually the handiwork of reverses, and setbacks, and temporary defeat, which the uninformed part of the world calls “failure.”
·         Every time you experience a temporary defeat, write a post-mortem and tell what you have learned from the ordeal.

15.      Tolerance
Intolerance is a form of ignorance which must be mastered before any form of enduring success may be attained. It is the chief cause of all wars. It makes enemies in business and in other professions. It disintegrates the organized forces of society in a thousand forms, and stands, like a mighty giant, as a barrier to the abolition of war. It dethrones reason and substitutes mob psychology in its place.
Intolerance is the chief disintegrating force in the organized religions of the world, where it plays havoc with the greatest power for good there is on this; by breaking up that power into small sects and denominations which spend as much effort opposing each other as they do in destroying the evils of the world.

16.      The Golden Rule
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”
Code of Ethics
1.      I believe in the Golden Rule as the basis of all human conduct; therefore, I will never do to another person that which I would not be willing for that person to do me if our positions were reversed.
2.      I will be honest, even to the slightest detail, in all my transactions with others.
3.      I will forgive those who are unjust toward me, with no thoughts of retaliation.
4.      I will be just, generous and fair with others always, even though I know that these acts will go unnoticed and unrewarded.
5.      Whatever time I may have to devote to the discovery and exposure of the weaknesses and faults of others I will devote, more profitably, to the discovery and correction of my own.
6.      I will slander no person, no matter how much I may believe another person may deserve it, because I wish to plant no destructive suggestions in my own sub-conscious mind.
7.      I recognize the power of Thought as being an inlet leading into my brain from the universal ocean of life; therefore, I will set no destructive thoughts afloat upon that ocean lest they populate the minds of others.
8.      I will conquer the common human tendency toward hatred, and envy, and selfishness, and jealousy, and malice, and pessimism and doubt and fear; for I believe these to be the seed from which the world harvests most of its troubles.
9.      When my mind is not occupied with thoughts that tend toward the attainment of my definite chief aim in life, I will voluntarily keep it filled with thoughts of courage and self-confidence and good will; for I believe these to be the seed from which the world reaps its harvest of progressive growth.
10.  I understand that a mere passive belief in the soundness of The Golden Rule philosophy is of no value whatsoever, either to myself or to others; therefore, I will actively put into operation this universal rule for good in all my transactions with others.
11.  I understand the law through the operation of which my own character is developed from my own acts and thoughts; therefore, I will guard with care all that hoes into its development.
12.  Realizing that enduring happiness comes only through helping others find it; that no act of kindness is without its reward, even though it may never be directly repaid, I will do my best to assist others when and where the opportunity appears.

The Law of Success: Summary (Pt 2)

6.      Imagination
Imagination is the key to mastering all of the other lessons in the course (i.e., Definite Chief Aim, Self-confidence, Leadership, etc.)
Imagination is the workshop of the human mind wherein old ideas and established facts may be reassembled into new combinations and put to new uses. The modern dictionary defines imagination as follows:
“The act of constructive intellect in grouping the materials of knowledge or thought into new, original and rational systems; the constructive or creative faculty; embracing the poetic, artistic, philosophic, scientific and ethical imagination”
The major trouble with this world today lies in our lack of understanding of the power of imagination, for if we understood this great power we could use it as a weapon with which to wipe out poverty and misery and injustice and persecution, and this could be done in a single generation
Just as the oak tree develops from the germ that lies in the acorn, and the bird develops from the germ so will your material achievements grow out of the organized plans that you create in your imagination.
Virtually all great accomplishments began in someone's imagination-imagination can do the impossible. The key idea of this lesson is this-use your imagination to rearrange old ideas into new combinations. For maximum achievement, you must mix effort with imagination. This is an area where your master mind group is especially helpful.

7.      Enthusiasm
Enthusiasm is a state of mind that inspires and arouses one to put action into the task at hand. It does more than this- it is contagious, and vitally affects not only the enthusiast, but all with whom he comes in contact.
How it will affect you
Mix enthusiasm with your work and it will not seem hard or monotonous. Enthusiasm will so energize your entire body that you can get along with less than half the usual amount of sleep and at the same time it will enable you to perform from two to three times as much work as you usually perform in a given period.
The procedure through which it may be developed is as follows; it begins by the doing of the work or rendering of the service which one likes best. If you should be so situated that you cannot or conveniently engage in the work which you like best, for the time being, then you can proceed along another line very effectively by adopting a definite chief aim that contemplates your engaging in that particular work at some future time.
How it will affect others
Your enthusiasm will affect others through the method of suggestion; this is the principle through which your words and your acts and even your state of mind influence others.
Your thoughts constitute the most important of the three ways in which you apply the principle of suggestion, for the reason that they control the tone of your words and, to some extent at least, your actions. If your thoughts and your actions and your words harmonize, you are bound to influence those with whom you come in contact, more or less toward your way of thinking. Suggestion differs from Auto-suggestion only in one way—we may use it, consciously or unconsciously, when we influence others, while we use Auto-suggestion as a means influencing ourselves.
To Master Enthusiasm
1st: Read remaining chapters because they are all co-ordinated
2nd: Write out your definite chief aim in clear, simple language, and follow this by writing out a plan through which the plan through which you intend to transform your aim into reality.
3rd: Read over the description of your definite chief aim each night, just before retiring, and as you read, see yourself (in your imagination) in full possession of the object of your aim. Do this with FULL FAITH in your ability to transform your definite chief aim into reality. Read aloud, with all the ENTHUSIASM at your command, emphasising every word. Repeat this reading until the small voice within you tells you that your purpose will be realized. If you prefer to do so you may read your definite chief aim as a prayer.

8.      Self-Control
“Don’t say, “It can’t be done,” or that you are different from these and thousands of others who have achieved note-worthy success in every worthy calling. If you are “different,” it is only in this respect: THEY DESIRED THE OBJECT OF THEIR ACHIEVEMENT WITH MORE DEPTH AND INTENSITY THAN YOU DESIRE YOURS.”
Enthusiasm is the vital quality that arouses you to action, while self-control is the balance wheel that directs your action so that it will build and not destroy. To be a person who is well “balanced” you must be a person in whom enthusiasm and self-control are equalized. The author took a survey of 160,00 prison inmates and found that 92% lacked the necessary self-control to direct their energies constructively, no doubt all people who refuse or neglect to exercise self-control are literally turning away opportunity after opportunity without knowing it.
Self-Control is a matter of thought control!
You have within your control the power to select the material that constitutes the dominating thoughts of your mind, and just as surely as you are reading these lines, those thoughts which dominate your mind will bring to you success or failure, according to their nature. THEREFORE you should place in your mind, through the method of auto-suggestion, the positive, constructive thoughts which harmonize with your definite chief aim in life, and that mind will transform those thoughts into physical reality and hand them back to you, as a finished product.
This is thought control!
By developing self-control you develop, also, other qualities that will add to your personal power. Among other laws which are available to the person who exercises self-control is the Law of Retaliation. In the sense that we are using here it means “return like for like”.
If I do you an injury you retaliate at first opportunity. If I say unjust things about you, you will retaliate in kind, even in greater measure! On the other hand, if I do you a favour you will reciprocate even in greater measure if possible.
Through the proper use of this law I can get you to do whatever I wish you to do. If I wish you to dislike me and to lend your influence toward damaging me, I can accomplish this by inflicting upon you the sort of treatment that I want you to inflict upon me through retaliation. If I wish your respect, your friendship and your co-operation I can get these by extending to you my friendship and co-operation.

9.      Habit of Doing More Than Paid For
“You have the good judgement to make yourself so useful that the person to whom you sell your services cannot get along without you”
There are two reasons for rendering such as service which transcend in importance all the others; namely.
1st: By establishing a reputation as being a person who always renders more service and better service than that for which you are paid, you will benefit by comparison with those around you who do not render such service, and the contrast will be so noticeable that there will be keen competition for your services, no matter what your life-work may be. Whether you are preaching sermons, practicing law or otherwise you will become more valuable and you will be able to command greater pay the minute you gain recognition as a person who does more than that for which he is paid.
2nd: By far the most important reason why you should render more service than that in this way: Suppose that you wished to develop a strong right arm, and suppose that you tried to do so by tying the arm to your side with a rope, thus taking it out of use and giving it a long rest. Would disuse bring strength, or would it bring atrophy and weakness, resulting, finally in your being compelled to have the arm removed? You know that if you wished a strong right arm you could develop such an arm only by giving it the hardest sort of use. Out of resistance comes strength!
The author suggest to readers to do the following experiment:
During the next 6 months make it your business to render such useful service to at least one person every day for which you neither expect nor accept monetary pay. Read Emerson’s essay on compensation for it will go a long way in helping you understand why you are conducting the experiment.
Make it your business to render more service and better service than that for which you are paid and lo! Before you realize what had happened, you will find that THE WORLD IS WORLD IS WILLINGLY PAYING YOU FOR MORE THAN YOU DO!

10.      Pleasing Personality
Take a keen interest in other people and in their work, business or profession. Make it your business to study other people closely enough to find something about them or their work that you really admire, only in this way can you develop a personality that will be irresistibly attractive.
To have a pleasing personality you must have good character and the way to build good character is by doing the following:
1st: Select those whose characteristics were made up of the qualities which you wish to build into your own character (your idols eg- Henry Ford, Bob Marley, Steve Jobs etc), and then proceed, in the manner described in Lesson One, to appropriate these qualities, through the aid of Auto-suggestion. Create, in your imagination, a council table and gather your characters around it each night, first having written out a clear, concise statement of the particular qualities that you wish to appropriate from each. Then proceed to affirm or suggest to yourself, in outspoken, audible words, that you are developing the desired qualities in yourself.
2nd: At least a dozen times a day, when you have a few minutes to yourself, shut your eyes and direct your thoughts to the figures which you have selected to sit at your imaginary council table; and feel, with a faith that knows NO LIMITATION, that you ARE actually growing to resemble in character those figures of your choice.
3rd: Find at least one person each day, and more if possible, in whom you see some good quality that is worthy of praise and praise it. Remember however that this praise must not be in the nature of cheap, insincere flattery; it must be genuine.
Let us now summarize the chief factors which enter into the development of an attractive personality:
1st: Form the habit of interesting yourself in other people; and make it your business to find their good qualities and speak of them in terms of praise.
2nd: Develop the ability to speak with force and conviction, both in your ordinary conversational tones and before public gatherings, where you must use more volume.
3rd: Cloth yourself in a style that is becoming to your physical build and the work in which you are engaged.
4th: Develop a positive character, through the aid of the formula outlined above.
5th: Learn how to shake hands so that you express warmth of feeling and enthusiasm through this form of greeting.
6th: Attract other people to you by first “attracting yourself” to them.
7th: Remember that your only limitation, within reason, is the one which YOU set up in YOUR OWN MIND.

The Law of Success: Summary (Pt 1)

The Law of Success (originally The Law of Success in 16 Lessons) is the title of Napoleon Hill’s first book set, published initially in 1928 as a multi-volume correspondence course and later more compact formats in recent years. The work was originally commissioned at the request of Andrew Carnegie at the conclusion of a multi-day interview with Hill, and was based upon interviews of over 100 American millionaires across nearly 20 years, including such self-made industrial giants as Henry FordJ. P. MorganJohn D. RockefellerAlexander Graham Bell, and Thomas Edison. The laws are as follows:

1.      The Master Mind
“A mind that is developed through the harmonious cooperation of two or more people who ally themselves for the purpose of accomplishing any given task."
Two or more minds may be blended in a spirit of perfect harmony, in such a manner that there is born a third mind possessing the super human power to read the story of the vibration of thought as it has been written and now exists in the imperishable records of the ether.
The law upon which the principle of the master mind operates was discovered by Christ, when he surrounded himself with 12 disciples and created the first thirteen club of the world. Despite the fact that one of the 13 (Judas) broke the chain of harmony, sufficient seed was sown during the period of harmony that originally existed between these 13 people, to insure the continuation of THE GREATEST AND MOST FAR-REACHING PHILOSOPHY KNOWN TO THE INHABITANTS OF THIS EARTH.
If you wish to become a great leader in any undertaking, surround yourself with other minds that can be blended in a spirit of co-operation so that they act and function as one.

2.      Definite Chief Aim
“You will attract to you people who harmonize with your own philosophy of life, whether you wish it or not”
All great leaders base their leadership upon a definite chief aim. Followers are willing followers when they know that their leader is a person with a definite chief aim who has the courage to back up that purpose with action.
Any definite chief aim that is deliberately fixed in the mind and held there, with the determination to realize it, finally saturates the entire subconscious mind until it automatically influences the physical action of the body toward the attainment of that purpose.
Your definite chief aim in life should be selected with deliberate care, and after it has been selected it should be written out and placed where you will see it at least once a day, the psychological effect of which is to impress this purpose upon your subconscious mind so strongly that it accepts that purpose as a pattern or blueprint that will eventually dominate your activities in life and lead you, step by step, toward the attainment of the object back of that purpose.
The principle of psychology through which you can impress your definite chief aim upon your subconscious mind is called Auto-suggestion, or suggestion which you repeatedly make to yourself.
Be sure that you’re definite chief aim is constructive; that it’s attainment will bring hardship and misery to no one; that it will bring you peace and prosperity, then apply, to the limit of your understanding, the principle of self-suggestion for the speedy attainment of this purpose.
Those who BELIEVE they can achieve their definite chief aim do not recognize the word impossible. Neither do they acknowledge temporary defeat. They KNOW they are going to succeed, and if one plan fails they quickly replace it with another plan.

3.      Self- Confidence
“Any Statement that you repeatedly make to yourself, or any desire that you deeply plant in your mind through repeated statement, will eventually seek expression through your physical, outward bodily efforts.” - Napoleon Hill
Self Confidence Formula
1. I know that I have the ability to achieve the object of my definite chief purpose, therefore I demand of myself persistent, aggressive and continuous action towards its attainment.
2. I realize that the dominating thoughts of my mind eventually reproduce themselves in outward bodily action, and gradually transform themselves into physical reality, therefore I will concentrate my mind for 30 minutes daily upon the task of thinking of the person I intend to be, by creating a mental picture of this person and then transforming that picture into reality through practical service.
3. I know that though the principle of auto-suggestion, any desire that I persistently hold in my mind will eventually seek expression through some practical means of realizing it, therefore I shall devote ten minutes daily to demanding of myself the development of the factors named in the 15 lessons of the Law of Success
4. I have clearly mapped out and written down a description of my definite purpose in life, for the coming five years. I have set a price on my services for each of these five years, a price that I intend to earn and receive, through strict application of efficient satisfactory service which I will render in advance.
5. I fully realize that no wealth or position can long endure unless built upon truth and justice, therefore I will engage in no transaction which does not benefit all whom it affects. I will succeed by attracting to me the forces I wish to use, and the cooperation of other people. I will induce others to serve me because I will first serve them. I will eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness and cynicism by developing love for all humanity, because I know that a negative attitude toward others can never bring me success. I will cause others to believe in me because I will believe in them and in myself.
I will sign my name to this formula, commit it to memory and repeat aloud once a day with full faith that it will gradually influence my entire life so that I will become a successful and happy worker in my chosen field of endeavour.
                                                                                    Signed    .........................
"Believe in yourself, but do not tell the world what you can do. Show it!"

4.      Habit of Saving
The author states that the saving of money is solely a matter of habit. Millions of people go through life in poverty because they have developed bad habits. The habit of saving increases ones' earning capacity, Hill tells us, by the following method: First, through your definite chief aim, define an exact description of what you want — including the amount of money you intend to earn. Then, your subconscious mind takes over, resulting in a blueprint. This molds your thoughts and actions into practical plans for attaining your purpose. As income increases, savings will increase as well. Hill repeatedly emphasizes that we are victims of our habits — under any and all circumstances, good or bad. However, the choice of our habits is totally within our control — and good habits can and will result from sheer determination and willpower. Hill warns of "the slavery of debt" by using examples of how being in debt is like being imprisoned. To sum up: The author strongly cautions against living beyond your means.

5.      Initiative and Leadership
Having chosen the definite chief aim to _____________ as my life-work.  I now understand it to be my duty to transform this purpose into reality.
Therefore, I will form the habit of taking some DEFINITE action each day that will carry me one step nearer the attainment of my definite chief aim.
I know that procrastination is a deadly enemy of all who would become leaders in any undertaking and I will eliminate this habit my make-up by:
  1. Doing some one definite thing each day, that ought to be done, without anyone telling me to do it.
  2. Looking around until I find at least one thing I can do each day that I have not been in the habit of doing, and that will be of value to others, without expectation of pay.
  3. Telling at least one other person, each day, of the value of practicing this habit of doing something that ought to be done without being told to do it.
I can see that the muscles of the body become strong in proportion to the extent to which they are used, therefore I understand that the habit of initiative also becomes fixed in proportion to the extent that it is practiced.
I realize that the place to begin developing the habit of initiative is in the small, common-place things connected with my daily work; therefore I will go at my work each day as If I were doing it solely for the purpose of developing this necessary habit of initiative.
I understand that by practicing this habit, but I will also be attracting the attention of those who will place greater value on my services as a result of this practice.

Social Media VS Traditional Marketing

Why Social Media?

Most brands see social media as a magical place where people share funny cat videos, make tweets about how hungry they are and status updates about relationship problems. Well guess what brands? It’s all that and a whole lot more! The power of social media as a medium to gain exposure for your brand should not be underestimated.  The majority of today‘s traditional marketers use outbound marketing to reach their audiences. For message distribution, they use print media, radio, and TV advertisements. While these methods may have worked in the past, by using tools like TIVO/DVR, email spam-blockers, now consumers can easily block messages they don‘t want. People are in more control over how they consume media and what messages they care to hear. People are now engaging in conversations. Conversation is the new marketing.

Some of the benefits of Social Media are:

  • It’s Inexpensive: You can reach a considerable amount of people at a fraction of the cost it would if you were to go and spend an arm and a leg on advertising with newspaper, tv or radio
  • It’s Measurable: Brands actually have the ability to measure their performance through analytics offered by social networks or 3rd party platforms such as hootsuite to see what works and what doesn’t and re-align campaigns according to trends shown from the numbers.
  • Engagement: Social Media is well, SOCIAL!, it’s the only advertising/marketing platform where you can actively engage and get real feedback from your customers on a day to day basis. when is the last time you told that newspaper ad Good morning and got a response?
Don’t think social media is worth it yet? check out these Case Studies:
JIMMY CHOO:  Best known as a designer for women’s shoes, Jimmy Choo used Twitter to geo-locate and feature upscale stores where their sneakers were available and saw a +33% increase in sneaker sales, a 40% increase in positive mentions and 4,000 participants in his Twitter effort.

BURBERRY: Social microsites secured 1,000,000 fans and a 10% increase in same-store sales

WET SEAL:  E-commerce teen clothing store for girls created “community” section on the web site for users to design their own clothes, publish for reviews and leverage “wisdom of the crowd.”  They saw a 21% increase in revenue driven by a 10% increase in sales and a 10% increase in the average purchase per customer.

SHOE DAZZLE:  Leveraged Facebook Pages, Like buttons and Graph API to import friends who shared the ShoeDazzle shopping and discovery experience with other friends.  It resulted in
  • 100,000′s of Likes

Men Lie, women lie, numbers don’t. At this point in time it’s really not a matter of “should” a brand use social media it’s a matter of “how” because that “should” is a YES as loud as a vuvuzuela. Your customers aren’t reading newspapers or listening to the radio their checking their twitter feeds, reading blogs and playing music on youtube(like what I’m doing right now as I’m writing this). You advertise where the eyes are and the eyes are in the social atmosphere, so don’t waste another minute! get to it!
